Are these bad cars? 2014-2015’s with under 30k that are the “sport” trim aren’t expensive. I had a co worker who had one and loved it, though I have never driven one. Are these good? Bad? Too bro-ish?

They’re fine. Just fine. Infiniti has carved out a spot right in the middle of every segment they compete in. They’ve mastered being good enough.

If they have the Direct adaptive steering, avoid like the plague!
Sport models look better than regular ones
3.7 engine is very good they made it more refined or quieter I belive vs the G37
Dual screen infotainment is an unreliable shitshow for 2014 to 2015, crashes frequently.

I have not driven one, but the reviewers complain about the steering and brake feel. Shame..it's a good looking car.

One was my lyft and the interior is rather nice.

I believe imoralminority has one. IMO infinity still makes good cars, they are just strange looking.

IIRC I think what he has i s the M37/ Q70 not the Q50 pictured. They didnt mess with that at all, and actually might be a better newer choice albeit a little heavie r with more space. But the Q50 sport looks better IMO.

The G37 is better IMO. I hate to sound exactly like automotive critics, but the brake & steering feel is lacking compared to the G37. I’m not a fan of the dual screen infotainment either.

too obscure here that i rarely see any Infiniti

My wife had the G37X sedan and that was a good driving car with really good steering. I can’t vouch for the Q as I’m not sure when they changed the steering.

ugh, that’s assuring but not at the same time

I’ve been having issues finding a non destroyed lowish mile G37 in my area. In all fairness I just need a comfy DD

is the 3.0t better than 3.7?
What’s the scoop on the direct adaptive steering?

Do you want low down torque or want to rev it out and use mid and high end power ? That will determine which is better for you. I have driven both but prefer the 3.7
Direct Adaptive Steering is steer by wire. C ompleteley artificial devoid of feel or feedback. universally panned by every single review and anyone who even remotely enjoys driving.

Search for a Q40. It is a g37 renamed for 2015 only, I believe many people don’t even know it exists.

1. I really don’t have a preference, granted I’ve had high revving cars all my life (exluding the TL Type S).
2. That sounds horrible.

You’ll h ave to t est drive a Q 50 with the 3.7 and 3.0T without the Direct Adaptive steering a nd decide.

Too many bros bought em. Best bet is to find one owned by a mid 50s woman named Janet who had it dealer maintained.
KingTchalla is right though, a Q40 would be a good idea. I don’t think they offered the sport package for it if that’s what you’re looking for , just the Q60 coupe had it.

G37xs is a great value! The early Q50s had a lot of infotainment and drive by wire issues, I would avoid anything below 2016. G37xs 2013 had almost all the issues worked out and it was one of the last of that model year. Peppy AF, comfy leather everywhere, roomy enough, great sound system. The infotainment is dated AF but nothing you can’t over look. Gas mileage is trash but that 3.7 V6 pulls when you need it too without needing to wring it out.

I haven’t dealt with them, but from what I know, they’re pretty nice cars. All of this stuff about a lack of driving feel shouldn’t be a big deal; if it runs and has a lot of options, it should be fine.
I decided to look for Q50’s near me and the local ALM (massive chain full of luxury cars from the northeast and Florida) branch had this perfect one. AWD and an amazing color.

They’re cheap for a reason.
If you want a midsize RWD Asian sedan, get a GS or a Genesis. Or a Stinger.
If you’re
open to non-Asian, an MKZ is also a good choice in the midsize luxury segment. And of course you can’t forget Volvo.

Atlanta luxury market right?

Atlanta Luxury Motors. They took over the space of the Hyundai dealer, which moved to a new location by Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
